 When I was searching for the weekend destinations near Hyderabad, I found this beautiful, archaeological wonder - Badami. I was not much interested about this place until I read about its history, and viewing the beautiful pictures of sandstone caves and temples. So I made up my mind to visit this place as the first trip in 2013 and also I'm writing this post on the same day of my visit to Badami.

Many times I heard of maredumilli and Rampachodavaram  but never get a chance to visit those places. As part of the meetup organised by Surya Prakash, a friend of mine, through Travel India Cafe( http://www.meetup.com/theTIC/ )  , I visited this place in Dec 2012. Maredumilli in East Godavari district is in the heart of undisturbed patch of Eastern Ghat forests, is one the best places to visit in Andhra Pradesh. Location:            Maredumilli is located at a distance of 85km from Rajamundry(Andhra Pradesh) on the Bhadrachalam road. Maredumilli forest comes under the Alluri sitaramaraju forest area. How to reach maredumilli?? There are two ways to reach maredumilli, either from rajamundry or from Bhadrachalam. Better hire a vehicle for the whole trip from rajamundry or board any bus that is going towards bhadrachalam and get down at maredumilli.  I was planning from 3 years to go to chembra peak trek and wayanad, but nothing went right till 2012 monsoon. Always when i saw the pictures of the beautiful heart shape lake in chembra, I wonder how i missed such an awesome place even after traveling almost all the best places in kerala. I thought of going to this trek with my girl friend and propose her infront of the heart shape lake... but I find it difficult to choose whom to take for the trek!!! ....  just kidding. In this post I'm going to give a detailed info about the chembra peak and my trek experiences.

 For those people who are interested in trekking don't need much intro about the Doodhsagar waterfall trek, and will have this as one of their dream treks. I was waiting for almost 4 years for this trek and finally started 2012 monsoon with this trek - Dream Trek. I should thank Venkee, Founder of Hyderabad Trekking Club(HTC) for organizing this trek and made that two days of trek most memorable to me.

                                Most of the people in Hyderabad haven't heard about this place and even I don't know much about Rachakonda fort till Soorya Prakash of HTC organized one day trek to Rachakonda fort in March 2012. After seeing the pictures of that trek, I was waiting for my chance to visit Rachakonda fort and I should thank Venkee, founder of Hyderabad Trekking Club for organizing a memorable one day trek to Rachakonda fort on June 10th 2012. This trek, temples and the fort location was too good and the weather on the day of our trek was awesome.

After I uploaded mysterious island trek pics on Facebook, many of my friends are curious to know about this place and they were really surprised to know that such a place exist in Andhra Pradesh. I read about this mysterious island somewhere on the net and really waited for my chance to go there. Finally with the help of Hyderabad Trekking club and Soorya prakash, i got a chance to visit this beautiful mysterious island. Location & History: Yelleswaragutta - mysterious island is located on Krishna river, upstream to Nagarjuna sagar. It is situated very near to famous Nagarjunakonda. There is no fixed transport facility to reach this island. This island is actually a hill and there is one Siva temple on the top of the hill.                                          Many times while passing through bhuvanagiri, i used to think that it is very difficult to reach top of the bhuvanagiri fort, as the mountain is very steep and never though that one day i will be reaching the top, trekking on those steep mountain. I should thank Soorya Prakash, who is friend of mine from many years and Hyderabad Trekking Club for organizing a memorable sunrise trek to Bhongiri fort. This trek and the fort location was far above my expectations and one can enjoy the beautiful views of valleys from the top of the fort.
