Paragliding in India

Paragliding is one of the most awe-inspiring adventure sports practiced today. Paragliding involves parachutes, lines and harnesses whereas hang gliders have rigid frames and the pilots are most often in a horizontal position. Mountainous regions are the most suitable destinations for paragliding because of the effect that elevation changes have on wind currents. There are many places in India, where one can learn paragliding or can try Tandem paragliding.

  2. Guys if you are interested to live seriously keep distance form these guys Temple Pilots Paragliding School who call themselves as leaders of paragliding in india, 100 % pecent safety record...thats the biggest joke here though i am from the other club i am very much aware of seeing their students getting injured big time they even had fatalities this year. I remember even seeing a guy getting a rib cage fracture in shinde hill during my training. And i really wonder how these people claim this under thier 100 percent safety record. Then comes the second thing the international lisence, that makes me laugh again, my instructor and boys here have told me about the International lisences they hold, a competition sporting lisence that can be obtained by giving few hundred bucks. Then the biggest fraud of all the affiliation with the aero club of India. My instructor has a very good relationship with the people there and they are 100 % sure that aero club does not affiliate any paragliding school with them and they will never do it without the permission of DGCA. And then the Indian Paragliding Federation, a private company in this field, wondering how they register one company over the other, can they cheat the people if they hold the name that spells like something official. I dont wanna comment anything more here. Guys i will strongly recommend you to take your training in other schools in Kamshet, they have very good instructors who personally taking part in international competitions and are very good in safety standards.
